History of the department

According to the PU-2107 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on a program to reform the health care system of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 10 November 1998, from 1999-2000, medical schools, offices have been opened “Higher Nursing”. The Tashkent Medical Institute at the Department of «Propaedeutics of  Internal Medicine» Faculty of Medicine was established course “Nursing”, whose director from 2000 to 2003, he was appointed Kosimov E. Yu. On this faculty 1st year students studying subject “Theory of Nursing”, 2nd year students studying subject “Nursing in therapy and MFT” 3 course “Fundamentals of research in nursing.”

Since 2003, the head of the course was a professor Razikova I.S., 1st year students studied the “Theory of Nursing”, 2nd year – “Nursing in therapy and MFT”, “Nursing in Family Medicine,” “Nursing in Rehabilitation” , “Fundamentals of Nutrition”, “Nursing in gerontology”, 3 course “Fundamentals of research in nursing.”

In 2004, the chair was created “Nursing”, head of the department was appointed professor Razikova I. S.

July 19, 2005 under the Criminal Code of 3629, was created Tashkent Medical Academy, Department of Nursing was included in the department “Propaedeutics  of internal medicine, hematology and MFT, occupational diseases and nursing care.”

Starting from July 2010-2011 school year according to the decree of the rector of Tashkent Medical Academy was established department “nursing”, which was the head professor Razikova I.S, and is currently head the Department of the Faculty of Graduate Nursing.

Today students study On this faculty 1st year students of the nursing department studying subject ” Nursing” and “Nursing in gerontology”,   2nd year students studying subject “Nursing in therapy and MFT”, “Nursing in Family Medicine”, “Dietology” ,3 course ” Nursing in Endocrinology”.

Currently, the department has:
Professor Razikova I.S. – Head of the Department;
Saidova M.T. – responsible for academic affairs;
Mirpayzieva M.A. – responsible for research;
Baybekova V.F. – responsible for clinical work;
Shukurova F.N. – responsible culture  and education;
